Draft Your Budget from a Distance

This budget template helps you draft a high-level budget for a new position in a city you haven't yet moved to.

The template focuses on your non-living expenses first (i.e., tax, payroll deductions, debt payments) so you can easily discern how much money is available for living expenses and financial goals. It also provides several methods by which you might estimate your living expenses.

The purpose of the budget is to help you set your housing and other large fixed expenses at a reasonable level for your stipend or salary and determine in advance how much money you may put toward financial goals.
